Viewing Lessons
Each course (a group of one or more lessons) is automatically assigned two short codes allowing sharing lessons built with the 'Advanced Tools'. However, you do not need to have used 'Advanced Tools' to view a shared lesson.
Each course has:
 |
A four letter code is for students. |
 |
A eight letter code is for teachers. |
You may have been given one of these codes by a teacher or colleague.
 |
If you are a student you can view the material by going to Secondary Students > View Lessons. For more details also see the section 'Student View' |
 |
If you are a teacher you can view the material by going to Teaching > View Material. For more details also see the section 'Teacher View'. |
These codes allow lessons to be viewed without accessing the editing tools.

Sharing Lessons
There are three ways to use Making Sense of Health online for teaching:
 |
'Key Stages: Basic Tools' - Finding activities for subjects and key stages, |
 |
'Advanced Tools' - Edit and organise lessons and activities, |
 |
'View Material' - Share your custom lessons with others. |
This section of support covers the way to allow others View Material you have prepared using the 'Advanced Tools'.

It is a good idea to familierise yourself with 'Key Stages: Basic Tools' first. For more information see 'Basic tools'.
If you wish to build your own custom material see 'Advanced tools'.
If you have created a course in the 'Advanced Tools' you can allow people to view your material by supplying them with the PIN codes associated to the course when you made it. These are listed where you see your course in the 'Advanced Tools'.
If you have used the 'Advanced Tools' to build a lesson you may want to use the PIN version to teach with or to review your lessons without editing.
Course Index:

Each course has:
 |
A four letter student PIN that allows students to review lessons online. |
 |
A eight letter teacher PIN that allows lessons to be shared them with teachers including the teaching support material and notes prepared by you. |

The student PIN allows a course to be viewed with any student notes you have added. Certain media items, such as answer sheets are not displayed. Students will not be able to alter the course while logged on.
If you supply a teacher with the teacher PIN they will be able to see the student PIN on for the course on the 'Course Overview'. They will be able to access the notes you have added but cannot alter your lesson in any way.
Please note: You must log out of the 'Advanced Tools' before viewing your course via 'View Material' with either PIN.
For more information about viewing material see the sections on 'Student View' and 'Teacher View'.
